I'm totally addicted (:
It was my first vocaloid PV that I really like and Nicole just rekindled the flame again when she showed me the PV.

For general information, this is the whole series of four PVs known as Story Of Evil【悪ノ物語】which is very very touching ):
It's about how a pair of twins are separated at birth, but the brother continued protecting the sister til the end, even dying for her.

The main point of this blogpost is some funny sms Nicole send me today 8D

I was smsing Nicky cos' my morning research testing session got cancelled. So I was like telling her that I have to wander aimlessly til the library opens at 10am. Then, at this point, my song list reached this song, so I added a Regret~ at the end.

Her reply:

Wednesday 15th July 2009

Went to submit time sheet to GMP to claim my pitiful pay ):
Mike(who handed in on tuesday) suggested that we have a buffet outing after submitting timesheet. Sakae Buffet~

So me, Kenneth and Weng Hei met at Raffles Place to hand in the timesheet to Chester before meeting Mike at Dhoby Ghaut. Jaclyn was sick ): That workaholic ._. Went to the branch at Park Mall cos' Mike says it is bigger XD I'm not sure about the size but it's quite empty but it still takes a long time for our sushi to come.

Between the 4 of us, we finished roughly~ 50 plates.
So Shilin, Yuki and me's 60 plates record is still unbroken =P
Although til now I seriously didn't remember how we managed to eat so many .__.

After that we headed over to Park Lane for this:

My first reaction was like OMFG. Hospital? Need operation? Her leg? Accident?
After I pressed further, it was her stomach .__.
Apparently Nicole finally found out the cause of why she always had sudden stomach pains randomly. There was a cyst in her ovary. Thank goodness its now removed, and she's all well again (:

So daddylye suggested we order from Mac since the lousy Cheers near the chalet isn't 24 hours.

So we ordered: 5 large cups of drinks and 2 cinammon melts

However, when the orders came, there was no straws!

Not even a single one.

Actually typical normal people would have just opened the cup and drank from there.

But we decided to be an ass (:

So Nicky called Mac:

Nicky: Hi, actually, I'm not trying to order. We ordered just now and our orders just came. But there is no straws. And we ordered mostly drinks. 5 cups. And we are at a chalet now, so there isn't straws so we can't drink it.

Mac Person: Ehh.. May I have your order number?

Speedknight: XXXXXXX

Nicky: *repeats*

Mac Person: Ah. I will contect you all again soon.

And they called like a few minutes later saying that they will deliver the 5 straws to us asap.

-20 mins past-

Nicky: Hey, where's our straws nia?

Me: Kami! You drink finish liao ar?

daddylye: daddy is thirsty mah. Champion call again ask where is our straws 8D

Speedknight: Okay... *calls*

Anyway, we ended up getting 2 large fries free of charge delivered together with our 5 straws. The fries was soggy and cold and we joked about calling and complaining about that. LOL.

Nothing much happened on the first day, we checked in on Friday afternoon into the chalet

Jobless by an sms! How sad is that nia ): Then i subsequently received an sms from Mike, then a call from Weng Hei and then sms (she was slow XD) from Jaclyn to further confirm the news.

There goes my 1.4k pay. *sigh* I even wanted to make a list of all the people I knew from the job but before I could do that we already got terminated! I seriously thought the project would last til end of July.

Anyway, I didn't managed to sneak take a picture of our working attire, so use your imagination people:

Will I miss working there? I guess so ): I would definitely miss the people there, eating supper together, talking and gossiping, teasing each other and entertaining ourselves when there is no traffic.

One thing I learn from this job is that sometimes you just need to talk to people to realise that they are not really as bad as how they seems. Maybe it's just a different way of expressing themselves, after all the world is such a big place (:

I shall collect as many names as possible before i stop working and see how many new people I've known this holiday~

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that
she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. I felt a pain in my heart.

But her much lighter weight made me sad.

On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step.
Our son had gone to school.

She said, Actually I hope you will hold me in your arms until we are old.

I held her tightly and said, Both you and I didn t notice that our life was lack of such intimacy.

I jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door.

I was afraid any delay would make me change my decision.

I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door.

I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I won t divorce. I m serious.

She looked at me, astonished. The she touched my forehead.

My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of life, not because we didn t love each other any more.

Now I understand that since I carried her into the home, she gave birth to our
child, I am supposed to hold her until I am old.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up.

She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into cry.

I walked downstairs and drove to the office.

When I passed the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet for my wife which was her favorite.

The salesgirl asked me to write the greeting words on the card.

I smiled and wrote, I ll carry you out every morning until we are old.

Yesterday when I was lacking like 24 hours of sleep, I found this really touching and cried .__.
Now that I'm sober and fully awake, I think the wife is one smart woman XD but its still touching ):

Techinically I signed this non-disclosure contract so I can't go into details .__.

(And the contract is scarily well-drawn: If one clause is deemed void, the rest of the contract is still valid; If you are terminated, the rest of the contract is still valid; Basically everything except maybe burning every existing copies of the contract?)

ANYWAY:

I'm finally earning some decent money 8D

The agency called me on friday night and asked me if I'm interested in a supposed one day work on sunday morning shift. After calculating the pay, I accepted it (since I'm unemployed -.-)

1st day:

Morning Shift: 1000 - 0000

Attire: White Polo Tee and Jeans + covered shoes (I supported cotton on cos its $10 =X)

Transport: My dad drove me there <3

It's quite a boring job actually, since you really don't have to use much of your brain during the entire shift. The mask is stuffy though .__.

On the bright side some of the uncles, aunties and kids are really cute <3>They would pose for the screening then I would tell them not to worry, I'll email the picture to them 8D

The shift ended at midnight because there was an unexpected peak hour rush and there wasn't enough night shift people .__.

2nd Day:

Night Shift: 2200 - 1030

Transport: My dad drove me there <3

The agency called me at 3pm the next day and offered me a contract of mininum one month.

Agent: Are you still interested to continue?

Me: Yes!

Agent: Okay! Please report to work at 9.45pm today and tomorrow.

Me: Huh? Tonight?

Agent: Ya.

Me: o__o Okay.

OH. I forgot to mention that its a complete isolated area there, so you have to bring your own food.

Anyway, after hearing that I went back to sleep. (9 hours beforehand doesn't feel enough for a night shift) My dad drove me there again~ then saw a few familar faces at the bus stop.

We realise they are also slacking up there with only four people stand-by at the lane, the rest (about 10 others) were sitting in a circle talking.

So much for being guilty.

(OTT: But we did missed one hour of the motorcycle screening cos' we were given a break so I guess it was quite worth it)

4th Day:

So I decided to tag along to this telemarketing job at this financial advisory firm cos'

(1) I need moolah

(2) I have never tried telemarketing before, so I thought I should give it a try

(3) My friend yanshuang did telemarketing for 6 mths before she went university so it should be alright .__. since she managed 6 months

So after I passed the interview (which was irritating cos' the interviewer was very sarcastic and keeps shooting you) and headed for my first day of work with yanshuang.

10am

Settled some misc. things with the person and sat down at this secluded area with nothing cept' a phone, a list of numbers to call and a stack of list to fill up details of every call. Not even a pen please. Must use my own.

Started calling. My call goes like this:

This is Jane (cos' Jerrine seems like a too difficult word to comprehend over the phone), calling from Alpha Financial Advisors. May I speak to the person in charge of employees' benefits please?

Ya, so supposed to get them to meet the agent if they are interested and I would then earn my commission of $5/appointment. But I has no talent for telemarketing >.> ZERO appointments for 4 days. Lots of potentials, but zero wants to meet. *sigh*

ANYWAY:

Next time you receive a call from telemarketer nia, be nice to her/him! They might just be some poor soul who is just trying to earn extra income, so if you dun want to sell nia, just say politely "Sorry, I don't think I have the intention to sell my house at the moment. Thank you." (:

This permernant coordinator behind us complained that me and yanshuang are not aggressive enough in our calls.

Like WTH? How do you be aggressive? Its SGD$200k or so at stake here! Do you think through a mere phonecall you can persuade someone who have no intention to sell at all to change their mind and sell their houses? Not SGD$20 leh. Its SGD$200 000 or even more. What do you want us to say?

Me: Ya.

In-charge: Hi, this is Simone. I heard from your friend that you are interested in the Brand Ambassdor job right?

Me: Ya...

Simone: Great. Cos' a girl had to drop the job because her grandfather just died, so we really need a replacement. Can you start tomorrow?

Me: I think so.

Simone: Good! Okay, the job is from 11am to 8pm. Lunch is from 3pm to 4pm. You will be in costume? Are you confortable with that?

Me: Ya.

Simone: Good! Please report to guardians at Paragon.

Me: Wait. Paragon?! I thought its at IMM .___.

Simone: Oh no, for this it is at paragon.

Me: Erm, then I'll pass on this. Its too far for me.

(2) Said in a very loud voice that she had perfect breathing and has no need for this.

(3)Asked me what is sleep apnea .__. good thing I rmbed something HP101 textbook. So I explained sleep apnea to him (OTT: Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder where you suffer episodes of pauses in breathing during sleep so you would like be unable to breathe but amazingly the person won't wake up during these episodes) ANYWAY, she doesn't look like she understands but her next question was: So why it doesn't work for sleep apnea. So i just told her its a medical condition that requires medication and Breathe Right happens to be drug free.

(4) Any others who stopped me before I could explain what I was promoting

Interesting Event:

The GSK ppl came to check on me! They had this paper that was supposed to rate my appearance, costumes and others. BUT. Before they could evalutate I went and complain that there isn't enough stocks here at guardian so they lost the sales of about 8 boxes. They were so impressed that I had 20+ boxes in only 4 hours that I noticed everything was "good" on the paper. (But I had very bad sales in the afternoon, but nvm, they don't need to know :3)

Day 2

Interesting/Ass custumers:

(1) There was this malaysian grandpa with the grandsons and they were soooooo cute 8D

(2) This caucasian lady who said I was cute (okay, that's not the point) and when I promoted to her the product she laughed and said, "Nah, I do not have a cold now, only sore throat" and showed me her medicine.

(3) This woman who refused to listen to what I had to say. I met her again during lunch time while she was looking for a seat in the crowded taka basement. She looked at me and opened her mouth but before she could say anything I told her " No, seat taken." *revenge!*

(4) This couple who I was promoting to. After I finished, the husband asked the wife in cantonese "You want?" The woman replied " No, don't need lah" then the husband said to me "We'll think about it" Nice translation 8D

Shocking Event:

The VM & SD Pte Ltd ppl also came to check on me! And the dumb thing is the woman was in plain clothes so I didn't know she was from there .__. So I didn't approach her to ask her to buy the product 8D But anyway, in the end she approach me and asked me about the product I got *quite* enthu-ly introduce to her and offer her samples when she look like she don't want to buy. Then she suddenly return the samples to me and say "actually I'm from VM & SM" Scared me .__. So she say I should be more proactive in approaching customers then I told her there is hardly anyone in the shop. (OTT: Its amazing how Jurong Point Guardian can be so crowded on a sunday that you can barely make it out alive and Paragon Guardian you can dance around the entire shop and still have space left) She say she noticed cos' she has been standing around quite long. Haiz. I wonder what I did during the "quite long".

Things To Note When Promoting A Product Called Breathe Right:

(1) The first thing you must do is to correct their schema that it is a product for people who snores .__. cos' some woman reacted quite badly when I approached them and said in a very insulted tone " I don't snore! "

(2) Only approach mature woman who are alone shopping and do not seem like they are in a rush, cos' they are more likely to listen to you til you finish your intro instead of cutting you halfway.

(3) Approach family with small kids by waving to the small kids first, give them a bear-bear leaflet (which is supposed to be for kids but contain WTHBBQ chim english), then start explaining to their parents what you are doing while the kids are distracted.

(4) Hide the twin-pack version at the most inner part of the rack cos its actually cheaper than the discount you are giving

(5) When a nice dressing woman trails around you for a long time, approach at ALL cost. It's probably someone coming to check on you .__.
